St. Matthew Catholic Church is launching a Little Flowers Catholic Girls Club to provide an opportunity to learn about saints and Scripture, to build friendships with other Catholic girls and mothers, and to have fun!
Who?
Any girl ages 5–12 (roughly kindergarten through 6th grade)
What?
Club meetings will include a game, prayer, short talk on the saint of the month, a craft or project, a breakfast-y snack, and plenty of free time to chat, play, and build friendships. (There will be coffee and tea for mothers.)
When?
First Saturdays of each month from 7:45am–9:15am
(First Saturday Mass at 7am is optional but encouraged. Our Lady is patroness of Little Flowers!)

Cost?
The cost to join the club includes:
- $6 for the Wreath I member book*
- once a year, contributing to the club meeting's snack (there will be a sign up)
- once a year, purchasing the club meeting's craft materials (there will be a sign up)**
Fees can be collected at the first meeting (cash or check).
*Though not required, Little Flowers also sells reasonably priced patches, club shirts, sashes or vests, and other fun club materials. An order form will be circulated in September for those wishing to purchase additional items.
**There is a wide range of possibilities here — we can talk, and I can help with ideas! Contributing craft materials does NOT mean having to lead the craft if that is not your gifting. Also, if that feels overwhelming, please do not consider purchasing the craft a barrier to participation - there is a lot of flexibility! Setting something up just ensures the material costs are shared yet also kept minimal.
Parental Involvement?
We ask for mothers to join club meetings as we seek to build a community of mothers and daughters growing together in our shared Catholic faith! Mothers are able to fellowship with one another and are asked to assist as needed with group crafts and activities.

Mothers will also need to complete the Diocese of Peoria Safe Environment Training (if you don't already have it). After sign ups, a separate email will be sent with instructions on how to complete that certification.
